In the beginning , Sri Kaligambal temple was a attap roof temple. The temple was located under a tree..’Valluvar Pandaram’ is the person who took care of the temple. Hindu people from the nearest place visits this temple as frequent as possible. In 1960, the ‘Valluvar Pandaram’ steped down from his position. So, a management committee elcted for these temple.

This Management Committee took a step ahead by renovating this temple and held the first ‘Kumbabishegam’ 1972.The Management Committee received a notice from the Government because the temple was not registered. These problem became very serius and finnally this temple is registered in 1990. The second ‘Kumbabishegam’ was held in 1991.
